MILKMADE STAGE @ Abbot Kinney Festival

Milkmade is celebrating our 2 year anniversary on Sunday, September 26th, at the 26th Annual Abbot Kinney Festival! To show our appreciation to all of you who've lent your support and helped make this a banner year for Milkmade, we've scoured the storied music halls of the Southland and composed a stellar roster with some of Los Angeles' most vibrant independent voices, to grace the Milkmade Stage. Collectively, these intrepid troubadours stake this city’s claim to the great American songwriting traditions of roots music, rock & roll, and classic soul.

When I first laid eyes on a Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, it was like seeing the live-action incarnation of a childhood fantasy.  But when Toyota revealed the FJ Cruiser concept back in 2003 at the Chicago Auto Show and the production model made its appearance on the roadways in 2006, the sense of adventure that the original CJ and FJ series Land Cruisers evoked had been lost underneath clean lines and tamed for mass appeal. Fortunately, automotive designer Jonathan Ward felt the same way. Having been asked by Mr. Toyoda, himself, to build three running & driving prototypes of what would eventually become the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, and having witnessed firsthand the drastic design departure from his original prototypes, Ward created ICON by revisiting the FJ40 with a clear focus on classic styling, modern performance, and timeless utility. Vogue "Fashion's Night Out" @ MILKMADE

As many of you may already be aware, the second annual Vogue "Fashion's Night Out" shopping event has gone global. This year, for the first time, the City of Los Angeles will be co-hosting FNO festivities on Friday, September 10th. A handful of designated "fashion zones" have been determined by Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) for the one-night event and Abbot Kinney has made the elusive cut.

Not to be outdone, Milkmade is putting together a special evening not to be missed!
