January 29, 2010 It's been roughly 2 years since I reluctantly abandoned one of my last remaining and marginally socially acceptable vices for a longer lease on life (and whiter teeth). Not to be confused with my 13 year relationship with Philip Morris, my deliberate and ceaseless infatuation (read: addiction) with coffee, in all its strengths, origins, and preparations, shows no signs of waning. Department of the 4th Dimension, in cooperation with Intelligentsia, has released a visual love letter of sorts: an ongoing short film series "documenting [their] search for the ultimate tastemakers." Feast your eyes on Part One: Espresso and Part Two: Syphon here and check back with Dpt. 4D's site for the upcoming Part Three: Cappuccino.

Autumn and winter have always been my favorite seasons: the food is heartier, the holidays merrier, and the clothing on offer, simply put, more inspired. Although foie gras and Thanksgiving retain their respective crowns in my book, Garbstore's East Empire Service Company campaign & collection for Spring & Summer 2010 could soon have me renouncing melton wool for madras.
